Performing Sculpture reads like 10 short stories relating 10 various types of “human connections”. Inspired by the sculptural works of American artist Alexander Calder, the series play with female figures and staged settings as narrative elements,to explore the relation between image and narration, and to present fascinating yet non-forcing stories which embrace everyone’s own imagination.

ARTIST
Tan Yuxi, photographer who is adept at integrating fertile imagination and narration into image, to create dramatic visual stories. Devoted to photographing and studying human, especially women, she explores daily subjects about women in the modern life. Once majored in visual media before studying photography, she has accomplished many film or theater projects and is always concerned with diverse forms of image.
