"Zugunruhe" is a German word that means "migratory restlessness". The series dives into a world of exploration where identity is forged in the act of migrating. No strings attached, no place, no home. The constant rediscover of foreign territory. The innocent eye that gazes the wild peak of the unknown landscape.
Laia Gutierrez graduated with a degree in fine arts from the University of Barcelona and studied Creative Retouch and CGI composition at Grisart Photography School. She started as a graphic designer for multiple well-known postproduction companies and design studios, and now works as a freelance photographer, visual artist, and designer. Her personal photography projects are built in a place where duality intersect, where the middle gray is darker. Dense calm. Quiet tension. She explores what's shown and remains hidden. An approach to human condition and how it relates to the territory. Through art she searches for unusual items and seeks to create dreamlike spaces.
