tibet trilogy (2012)
Shot between 2011 and 2015, Matt's landscape series Tibet Trilogy presents scenes that the human eye has trouble seeing itself: showing a dialogue between him and this ancient land. Matt continuously uses his particular poetry to bring viewers deep into the visual imagination created by nature, open space, and religion.
Matt Lindén is a lifestyle and travel photographer based between London and Helsinki. He completed an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the London College of Communication. His works have been featured in BBC, CNN, Time Out, and multiple other international publications. He has been involved in international photography projects in the U.S., Japan, and India. Separating himself from a traditional travel photographer, Matt tries to spend an extended period of time in a place to truly understand its unique history and culture firsthand. From this, he then uses his lens to capture the part of time in this experience that he can call his own. In his photography, Matt works to show the duality of human life and the glow of its fleeting transience. A traveler and a dreamer, he now lives in London and Helsinki, but often makes his way to the place he truly loves – the Himalayas. He loves hiking, stars and sunsets; he speaks English, Chinese and Tibetan.
