Yin Ying

Limited

Wind of Okhotsk II is the continuation of series Wind of Okhotsk, using collage to present urban landscape in the snow. Ying Yin went back to the island of Hokkaido, she got stuck in the snow for the second time. The street lights, the walking people, the buildings, her sight was filled with the color white. Snow covered many useless things, and that made many interesting details appear. The snow and gray weather create an unreal feel like each building stands alone with no surroundings, as if residents will have to trek for miles to make it home.

PHOTOGRAPHER

Yin Ying

Growing up in an old house of the prosperous city, Shanghai, Ying Yin has always been fascinated with historical architectures. Her works are often based on reality, meanwhile transcend the physical material of life itself to create a surreal artistic conception. Ying tends to explore the unknown side of the city during the journey. Her works are always based on the bystander’s attitude to convey the symbiotic relationship between architecture and human through emotional scenes.
